User Experience (UX) is a term that refers to how users of products and services experience the usage of these products and services. It therefore encompasses a much wider domain than the related fields of interaction design and service design. There have been a couple of articles in blogs and other online media that discuss the domain of UX:

"The combination of creative energies and the need to perform at the highest level to keep up with peers lead to an otherwise unattainable commitment to excellence. This is the alchemy of synergy.
We will apply this concept in an outstanding multidisciplinary project by using Madeira museums as a canvas and design thinking, multimedia, psychology, science, history, computer science, marketing… as our toolsets.

Visualising large sets of information, such as complex schedules, is a challenging task. When given this task for, e.g., a web site, the easy way out would be to create tables and indexes and some kind of navigation system like a menu to access the data. This approach would lead to a web page that would quickly bore the user and would finding what you need an annoying job. Not so with the example shown here, which is a very clever way of giving an overview of the World Championship's schedule of matches. Without a single click, the user can navigate the schedule and get instant information while keeping a very clear overview. A great and innovative interface.
